Next Game Saturday 6 pm CCAB - Last game for now till further notice

Our tentative last game is on this saturday as I have yet to receive further notice on last week's postponement.

We are now fifth with two games in hand on the 4th team SCC (see here). If we win the next 2 matches, we will be confirmed in the first 4. Khalsa technically can overshoot us if we win one and lose won and they win both their remaining matches, so let's pull our socks up and win them all.

Please indicate attendance to your group leader.

CHANCE!!!!!

Alrighty, heres the deal, after our game got cancelled last weekend, some of the other games managed to go on as scheduled and it turns out that SCC(currently, 4th placed) lost their last two games.
Which leaves us at 5th place, 1pt adrift and with 2games in hand!

However, Khalsa and Prisons have played the smae no. of games as us but are 2pts and 3pts adrift of us respectively.

SO, we are in pole position to finish 4th(or higher depending on the top 3 teams), but we have to WIN our last two games to confirm ourselves a semi-final berth.
Another complication is, as a result of the rained out game last weekend, our last 2 games are played over 2 consecutive days... 23rd vs Sikhs(@CCAB 1800) and 24th vs SIA(@DSC 1930)...

Last 2/3? games of the season liao fellas! at least come down and support if you can... if not then have to wait till next season liao...

PS. forgot to add, SIA beat SCC 6-3..
so these aren't the easiest games we have left too...

Perfect. Just Perfect.

Toyol scored!!!! well, not the way Mr. Shahrom does..... but he did put the ball into the net in our last game vs Barkerites...
Final score for those of you who missed the game for various reasons(Faizal: suspended, Gerald: personal commitments, Ranjan: just plain fucking forgot!!!), was 3-1.

Quick quiz: Who is the only player in our team who knows how to do the indian dribble?
Ans: Pavithra "Pavi the Sri Lankan Love Machine" Malalasekara

What has that got to do with the game?

Well, he scored the opening goal for us. Continuing his goal scoring streak, i think he's our top scorer this season sial... but then Barkerites came back strongly, and equalized with a penalty stroke after Harpal Singh decided to lunge two footed into one of their forward's midsection (like some WWE move!) in the D. (ok so that didn't happen. what actually did, was that jesse was standing on the goal line and the ball hit his foot.... was it an "owwie"? jesse?)

and for those of you who have been regulars this season to our games, losing a lead means winston losing his marbles. he was slowly losing it again, shouting at everyone and no one for patches of the game up till the 2nd half where we slowly clawed our way back into dominance. Our passing and movement somehow managed to up a gear or two i think, passing the ball flawlessly from kiran to winston via sony/tbk/eng siong/pavi/john(well whoever was involved lah). So i think it was our 2nd/3rd? short corner, that we finally converted thru latest signing and most effective minutes-to-goals ratio player, ever in an ORA jersey, Paul!! fat fucker can drag flick sial!! awesome! no chance for the keeper. so now we effectively have options for short corners! Chun Men, Paul, Eng Siong. the rest of us can play off the rebounds and deflections.

anyhoos, so the game ebbed and flowed, both sides had chances to score, but wee little birthday boy nick was pretty sharp between the posts, he managed to keep most of the shit out.. and their keeper getting some lucky breaks as well, saving with his helmet even.... then as Barkerites faded under the sun, up stepped our noodle armed hero of the moment, the one, the only, TOYOL!!!!! he found space between 2(2!!!!!)defenders in the D from a long midfield pass, lured the keeper out (actually he fumbled around with the ball for half an hour), and at the perfect time for a noodle armed shot, Toyol let loose a noodle armed shot that rose above the advancing keeper and floated into the center of the goal!!!!!!
awesome you say? you had to be there to believe it. if you could see sony's face when we were celebrating the goal you could see how perfect that goal was.
